How To Use Your Wearable Heat Packs In Summer

Summertime and the living is easy. Except sometimes it’s not so easy.

It’s hot, aches and pains can flare up, Covid looms, injuries happen. Oh, and did we mention, it’s hot?

Fortunately, for many of life’s difficulties, you can reach for your Spoonie Society heat pack for immediate relief!

Heat pack! I hear you exclaim. Well, yes. And that’s because our heat packs aren’t just heat packs. They’re cold packs too.

Because they’re filled with Australian grown lupins, all you need to do is pop them in a ziplock bag, then into the freezer, for two to four hours.

Here’s what they can be used for.

Injuries

If you’re out and about, enjoying the summer sun and getting involved in some outdoor activities, then chances are, you might injure yourself. Never fear! If you’ve experienced a sprain or strain, then cold packs are for you. They work by constricting blood vessels, reducing swelling and decreasing inflammation. They can also numb the area to reduce pain.

Chronic conditions

Cold packs can serve as a fantastic way to reduce pain and discomfort associated with common but chronic ailments, such as arthritis, headaches and back aches.

Reducing fever

Summer time might be more fun, but we have just as much chance of getting sick and catching a fever as any other time. Especially with Covid around. Cold presses can be a great way of reducing fever. You can pop one on your forehead, or if it’s particularly high, place it under the armpit or in the groin area where there are larger blood vessels.

Cooling down

Hey, let’s face it, it’s hot! Sometimes, you just want to cool down. If you don’t have a pool or aren’t interested in a cold shower, why not grab a cold pack. You can turn down the heat while watching your favourite movie. A new twist on Netflix and chill.

The best thing about our hot and cold packs is that they come in a range of shapes and sizes, to suit whatever it is you’re trying to achieve.

We’ve got packs for your eyes, packs that wrap around your waist, packs you can hold in your hand and packs that fit… wherever!

They also come in a variety of cool colours and patterns. Might as well make it fun, right? Best of all, they don’t smell, and they don’t sweat. You can grab yourself one right here.
